Scope Exterior building identification, interior wayfinding directories, donor recognition, and special graphics

The McCourt School of Public Policy’s new flagship building anchor’s the University’s capitol campus. Signage for the building included exterior identification, interior wayfinding directories, donor recognition and special graphics, in moments grand and intimate.

The main lobby feature wall is an engaging display of colorful vertical tiles integrated into the custom millwork. Inspirational keywords are etched into the individual tiles to reference bookspines. The Commons wall features the School’s mission statement “Together, We Will…” followed by a variety of actions. Fully integrated into the millwork, each slat can be removed and replaced with new text over time.

In addition to a variety of environmental graphic moments throughout the building, RBA created graphic murals for the elevator lobbies that represent different areas of public policy. These graphics are also rendered in linear pattern form on each level punctuating conference and meeting rooms, and reinforcing the theme.
